Veteran’s Day 2012
“In war, there are no unwounded soldiers.” -Jose Narosky
I’ve worked on Veteran’s Day more often than not since I’ve lived in San Diego. Despite that, I always take a moment to thank those that have or are serving our country.
I know that if my Uncle Frank were still alive, he would be at a ceremony somewhere in our hometown honoring our veteran’s. He had a particular spot in his heart for Vietnam Veterans because of the way they were treated when they came back from the war, and the difficulty they had in finding the services they needed to support them long after the war.
They say that pictures are worth a thousand words, with that in mind, I would like to honor our Veteran’s by sharing a few pictures. While these pictures are of my family, they represent all those who have served our country. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all, and promise that I will never forget your sacrifices.
Although the picture was taken during a Memorial Day ceremony, you could always find my Uncle Frank at an event commemorating those who served our country. Clicking on any of the pictures that follow will show a larger view.by
