Veteran’s Day 2012

I’ve worked on Veteran’s Day more often than not since I’ve lived in San Diego. Despite that, I always take a moment to thank those that have or are serving our country.

I know that if my Uncle Frank were still alive, he would be at a ceremony somewhere in our hometown honoring our veteran’s. He had a particular spot in his heart for Vietnam Veterans because of the way they were treated when they came back from the war, and the difficulty they had in finding the services they needed to support them long after the war.

Focus, Balance and Death

It’s time to come back to my poor neglected blog. I’ve written a million posts in my head between the last one and now. One of the posts was about staying focused which related to my training for the marathon in memory of my mom-in-law. I’m happy to say that I completed it and will do it again next year in her honor.
